Thu Duc City, was established in 2020 after merging District 2, District 9 and Thu Duc District, and is currently the only city in Ho Chi Minh City with a population of more than 1 million people on an area of 210 km². • Main roads: Thu Duc City has main roads such as Hanoi Highway, Ring Road 2, National Highway 1A, and Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway. These are important traffic axes connecting the area with the center of Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces such as Dong Nai and Binh Duong.
• Small and narrow roads: Many internal roads such as Nguyen Xien, Nguyen Duy Trinh, and La Xuan Oai are currently only 10-12m wide, not meeting the travel needs of residents in the area.
• Traffic congestion: Due to the sudden increase in population and rapid development of urban areas such as Vinhomes Grand Park, traffic congestion occurs frequently, especially during rush hour.

- Connecting point of Ring Road 3 in Long Binh Ward: Project to add a new traffic intersection to reduce the load on the existing Go Cong intersection and meet the rapid urbanization speed in the area.
- Hoang Huu Nam Street: Will be widened from 20m to 30m. This route plays an important role in connecting Vinhomes Grand Park urban area with other areas, helping residents move more easily, especially in the context of Thu Duc City’s strong development. This route also connects with the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line, contributing to shortening travel time between Vinhomes Grand Park and the city center.
- Le Van Viet Street: This route will be widened from 20m to 30m, playing a key role in connecting Vinhomes Grand Park with other areas such as Phu Huu and surrounding areas. This section of the road is 4.27km long and plays a major role in reducing traffic congestion.
In addition, a number of new routes have also been built, such as the route connecting D1 to the High-Tech Park, with an investment of VND 750 billion, helping to improve the connection between Vinhomes Grand Park and the High-Tech Park
- La Xuan Oai Road: This road is 5.36km long and will be expanded from 22m to 30m, helping to improve mobility and connect Vinhomes Grand Park with surrounding areas. This route connects important areas such as Phu Huu Industrial Park and main roads
- Nguyen Duy Trinh Road: The route is 6.37km long and 30m wide, helping to connect Vinhomes Grand Park with neighboring areas. This route plays an important role in improving traffic and developing the area.
In addition, Thu Duc City also expands other routes such as Do Xuan Hop and Lo Lu, all of which contribute to enhancing traffic connectivity and promoting infrastructure development in the area.
